Session Playlist Builder

Preview version. It reads your playlists and shows the plan. It does not create anything yet.

1. Connect your Spotify app

This app works through a free Spotify developer app that belongs to you. Set it up once:

  1. Open the Spotify developer dashboard (it opens in a new tab), log in, and click Create app. (If you already have an app, click it instead, then click Settings.)
  2. Fill in the form. The name and description can be anything. For Redirect URI, copy this address, paste it in exactly as shown, and click Add:
    Under Which API/SDKs are you planning to use?, choose Web API. Agree to the terms and click Save. (If you already have an app, add the address under Redirect URIs in its Settings, click Add, then Save.)
  3. Open your app's Settings, copy the Client ID, and paste it here:
  4. Click Connect Spotify. Spotify will ask you to approve read-only access, then bring you back to this page.

Your Client ID is not a secret. It stays in this browser, and nothing is sent anywhere except to Spotify.

2. Your formats

Same syntax as playlist_settings.py. Changes are saved in this browser.

3. Preview

Connect Spotify, then choose a format and click Preview plan.
